SET nominated for Staatspreis Innovation 2018

In March 2018, Austria's highest state award - the Staatspreis Innovation - was awarded for the 38th time in Vienna. This event is organized on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digitization and Business Location, Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (aws).

SET gave us the great honor of being selected for the special prize ECONOVIUS, which is awarded to small and medium-sized enterprises by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. We are very proud that SET has once again been awarded for outstanding innovation achievements and was able to prevail against a considerable number of participants from 438 companies.

SET had applied for the special prize ECONOVIUS with its MPS - Modular Press System - fully automatic system for the production of brake linings.

From the Booklet regardinng the MPS:

"In the production of brake linings for cars and trucks, in particular friction linings with friction material, the quality requirements of the automobile industry and of the testing stations are constantly increasing. To meet these requirements, SET has developed the MPS (Modular Press System) system, which automatically runs the entire coating production, from the filling of the material to the exit from the curing oven. Defective parts are immediately identified and rejected. MPS consists of two units of two modules, each consisting of 4 presses and 2 dosing units for the friction material. The system is modularly expandable and compatible with existing tools. An advantage in addition to the lower CO₂ emissions: people who might suffer from material dust, noise or heat, are not needed for operating."
